Hello and welcome to Simon Mayhew Photography. I am a freelance photographer specialising in professional headshots for actors/dancers/singers in London. I have 10 years of professional performance experience behind me and I am on the road to becoming an agent, so with all this experience and expertise by my side I know the right ingredients to create a winning headshot.

Headshots are so important when it comes to getting auditions. Casting directors have to go through hundreds if not thousands of headshots for a single round of auditions so having a fresh 'stand out' shot is a must. I will work with you and direct you on different levels and angles to find the perfect combination that suits you. Everyone is different so I will spend the time coaching you on your posing and facial expressions.

Being a performer myself I understand everyone is on a budget and I feel strongly that you don't need to spend hundreds of pounds for a shoot for that stand out headshot. I use natural light in all my shots and I believe this shows you at your best and makes you look most natural.  A lot of people come to my shoots very nervous and always say "I can't pose!" or "I'm awful at having my photo taken" but very quickly you will be laughing with me and I will even teach you how to "smize".
